Jet Investment group entered into an agreement to acquire a controlling stake in Náš chléb, a Czech group producing and selling quality artisan bread, pastries, delicacies and confectionery products, which also operates a network of retail stores focused on fresh and local food.

(Brno, 30 July 2025) Jet Investment group entered into an agreement to acquire a controlling stake in Náš chléb, a Czech group producing and selling quality artisan bread, pastries, delicacies and confectionery products, which also operates a network of retail stores focused on fresh and local food. Jet Investment agreed on the transaction with Meriton (an investment firm and part of the Miton Group) and Ivan Šnajdr, the founder and current CEO of Náš Chléb. Náš Chléb will thus become part of the Jet 3 private equity fund.

Náš Chléb bakery has been operating on the Czech market for over 25 years and in 2024 it achieved consolidated sales of approximately 450 million Czech crowns. Currently, the group employs almost 700 people and its retail network includes 124 outlets throughout the country, 14 of which are operated in the form of franchises. The group's bakery based in Jablonec nad Nisou produces up to 190 million pieces of bread a year, all with an emphasis on traditional craftsmanship and the quality of raw materials. The retail network's portfolio follows three concepts: Náš Chléb - Vaše pekárna, focused on traditional bakery products, delicacies and complementary assortment, Náš Grunt, selling local food from smaller Czech suppliers, and Sklizeno, which specializes in quality food in organic quality.

"Consumer behaviour is changing, even in our region, where prices have long played a major role. Today, people are far more likely to take into account the quality and origin of food or brand loyalty when shopping. Náš Chléb group is actively listening to these market changes, which is why we see strong growth potential in it. We believe that together we can strengthen their position on the market and support growth both in an organic manner by opening new branches and through further acquisitions," says Marek Večeř, Project Director at Jet Investment.

The transforming consumer behaviour and the shift towards healthier and less industrially processed food is also confirmed by global surveys. According to Voice of the Consumer 2025, a recent analysis by PwC, 60% of consumers are increasingly concerned about eating ultra-processed foods. At the same time, they are increasingly looking for alternatives to traditional chains, visiting small, non-traditional points of sale, such as shops with products from local producers or farmers' markets.

Náš Chléb has been experiencing a growth trend in recent years. Since 2020, the group’s revenues have grown by an average of 20% per year and EBITDA has increased from 13 million to 63 million Czech crowns over the same period. The growth is the result of a rebranding initiative, a shift to higher value-added products and the development of the retail network, which adds more than 10 new outlets every year. In 2024, the group became the new owner of the Náš grunt brand, and in March 2025 it announced another acquisition, the Sklizeno brand.

"We have been monitoring the food industry for a long time as a segment that matches our investment focus and at the same time follows the company's long-term strategy. We see our entry into Náš Chléb as an opportunity to develop a business in a sector we believe in and, at the same time, as a way to diversify the portfolio of the Jet 3 fund," adds Marek Malík, managing partner at Jet Investment.

Upon completion of the acquisition, which is subject to approval by the competition authority, Jet Investment will acquire a majority stake of 80% in the Náš Chléb group. 60% will be acquired from Meriton (an investment firm and part of the Miton Group), which entered the group in 2020, and 20% from Ivan Šnajdr, the founder and current CEO. Ivan Šnajdr retains the remaining 20% stake in the group and stays at its head.

"The entry of Jet Investment unfolds a new chapter in the development of our group, which I am sincerely looking forward to, and I believe it will bring us many interesting opportunities not only from the business point of view, but also from the human perspective. At the same time, I would like to thank my current partner Meriton (part of the Miton Group) for the journey we have traveled together. It was an important stage for us, not only in terms of the growth of the group, but also as proof that fairness, trust and mutual respect can work in business," says Ivan Šnajdr, founder and CEO of Náš Chléb.

"We are delighted that Jet Investment is entering the project. We believe that the new partner will bring a strong background and support for further development of the whole concept of Náš Chléb. We have been actively supporting Ivan Šnajdr and his team in building the Náš Chléb brand since 2020. It was great to see the brand expand, especially in the regions we are close to. We greatly appreciate the commitment of the entire team, their continuous improvement of the offer and the emphasis on the quality of the ingredients used. In our opinion, the continuous growth of the group's turnover in recent years is a clear confirmation of Ivan Šnajdr's extraordinary capabilities, energy, expertise and business sense," says Martin Řezáč, founder and CEO of Meriton (investment firm and part of the Miton Group).

The transaction is the fourth investment made by the Jet 3 private equity fund. The fund’s portfolio currently includes Fiberpreg, which focuses on the production of composite materials, LIKOV, specializing in the production of building profiles, and Plastiwell International, a leading Polish manufacturer of plastic components. The entry into the Náš Chléb group thus seamlessly follows the fund's strategy, which aims to support dynamically growing companies with high market potential and a strong position in their fields.

The legal advisor for the transaction was DRV Legal.
