Jet Investment invests €2.1 million in Swedish deep-tech company GigaScan
(Brno / Gothenburg, 17 August 2026) Jet Investment, through its Jet Venture 1 fund, is investing 2.1 million euros in the Swedish technology company GigaScan Technologies AB. The company develops systems for three-dimensional optical quality inspection directly on production lines. The investment is intended to support team expansion, the ramp-up of mass production, and further development of the technology for industrial customers.

Today, manufacturers of complex parts often face a choice between rapid camera based inspection, which can struggle with complex geometries, and highly precise measurements performed offline. GigaScan is developing a system that creates a detailed 3D digital model of a part, including its geometry, color, and surface characteristics, directly on the production line. The technology works without markers, spray coatings, or a specially controlled environment.
GigaScan systems are designed primarily for demanding industrial applications in the automotive, energy, aerospace, and precision engineering sectors. The technology has a long track record of continuous industrial operation. The system delivered in 2015 to the Borgers KG plant, now part of Autoneum, operates continuously 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In eleven years of operation, it has been out of service for only about eight days, which corresponds to an availability rate of 99.8%.

In manufacturing, the choice is still too often between fast but limited camera-based inspection and precise offline measurement. GigaScan shows that this tradeoff is not necessarily unavoidable. Its technology combines detailed 3D data with real-time production operations, paving the way for more comprehensive quality control of complex parts,” says Kamil Levinský, CEO of Jet Venture 1.
“What was decisive for us was not only the quality of the technology, but also its proven track record in long term industrial operation and the team’s ambition to move toward repeatable mass production. This is precisely where Jet Investment can contribute significant industrial expertise alongside capital,” adds Kamil Levinský.
“We developed GigaScan specifically for the demanding conditions of real world production. Our goal is to give manufacturers accurate data on every part without slowing down the production line or compromising quality. The partnership with Jet Investment provides us with both capital and industrial expertise to further scale our operations,” says Patrik Folkesson, founder and CEO of GigaScan Technologies.

The capital will be used primarily to strengthen the development team, expand production and supply capabilities, grow business activities, further build the patent portfolio, and finance working capital.
The investment aligns with Jet Investment’s strategy to develop, through the Jet Venture 1 fund, a portfolio of industrial B2B technology companies with international growth potential. The investment in GigaScan follows our previous investments in Partory, International Automotive Group, Cequence, Boost.space, Headmade Materials, Digicust, and DecisionRules.
